Costa Rica Chica – THE BOOK

Just a note to tell you guys my biggest news ever – MY BOOK IS PUBLISHED!

I would be totally honored if you bought a copy (just $3.95!) and read it.

<<– Just click on this cover picture (or HERE) to purchase!

What is it about?  Well, have you ever wanted to quit your job and “retire early”?  We did it!  My husband and I were fed up with the “more, more, more” mentality of North America,  and decided to quit our jobs, sell everything and move to Costa Rica with just 9 suitcases.  Why Costa Rica?  Well, you’ll have to read the book to find out exactly why – but overall we wanted to downsize and simplify our lives and get by on less money.

See what made us consider Costa Rica in the first place, how we did it, and why we have no regrets!

Bonus chapters include some recipes and a packing list for YOUR move to Costa Rica!

Also – I would LOVE it if you would leave me a review on amazon after you have read it.

  1. Congrats, Jen! Gotta get me Kindle out and make the purchase…but I read excerpts on Amazon. Love love love your writing style! Can’t wait to read it all. You must be so proud! Hope this doesn’t mean you’re “finished” with one book? What’s next????? (movie rights in mind?) Keep up the great work and give us more of your Pura Vida life, OK?

  2. Just ordered and can’t wait to read it! I have been following your blog for I think it’s been almost a year now. I recently made the big decision to leave corporate. I’ll be in CR Grecia area for 3 months or so starting in February and who knows what after that. Not sure I’m ready to fully retire, but I’m definitely looking to simplify so as never to have to go back to corporate again! Congrats on the book which came out in perfect timing for me 🙂
    To your success! Lora

  3. Whoo hoo!!!! Congratulations, Jen. You did it! What an accomplishment. I’m looking forward to reading and reviewing it for you. I’m still traveling in California, but will be back in Costa Rica next week to get back to life. All the best for roaring success!

  4. I just bought your book Jen. I’ve been following you on Instagram and Facebook for a while. I’ll be moving to Costa Rica in February… already got my ticket! Just doing some purging now. 🙂 I can’t wait.

  5. Congratulations! I’ve been following and loving your blog. My husband and I are looking for a warm place to escape MN winters. Initially we’re thinking about a month or so but after hearing stories like yours – who knows if a month could turn into much longer in the future. I don’t have kindle. Will it be out in hardcopy sometime soon? Again, congrats on the book and making the gutsy move to Costa Rica!

  8. Dear Jen,
I bought your book and will begin reading this week! I am sooooo excited for you! This will open up your world of contacts, but I know you are up to it! You are so kind and generous to all who get to know you. I shared your book and FB and posted that you and Greg are my hero’s! God bless you each and every day on this remarkable journey! Love, Valerie in Katy

    • Valerie – can I hire you to be my personal cheerleader? Seriously, you are so great! You are so nice to share my book, thank you so much. I really hope you enjoy (let me know!). 🙂

  9. Just wanted to tell you I really, really enjoyed your book! Excellent job – it was very interesting. Is it strange that I’ve been craving Tang since reading about how much of it is in the stores there? I haven’t had Tang in 20 years 🙂

  11. What a great read Jen. You made me feel like I was sitting next to you and you were telling me the story. My husband and I just got back from Costa Rica. We retire in 3 years and will probably move there. Went to Grecia, La Fortuna, and Punta Uva. My husband likes La Fortuna and I like Grecia. We’ll go back again next year. Hope to meet you if you go to Grecia again. Anyway, love your book and am looking forward to the sequel. Don’t stop writing and don’t stop sharing. I love your blog and your husband’s
    Take care and Pura Vida

    • Wow – thank you so much Sherry! (That is the best compliment – that you felt like I was sitting right next to you, telling you a story…)

La Fortuna is lovely. Let me know if you come through Grecia!

      Many thanks!! — Jen
